#asktheexperts how to start solid food? and cerelac is safe for babies?

A. dear mum, solid foods should be introduced only after completion of 6 months. avoid giving any sort of commercially available packaged foods like cerelac and prefer to give homemade food. you can begin with foods like porridges (like rice, Ragi, wheat flour , moong dal and rice flour mix) , kheer then dal-rice with vegetables, veg khichadi, soft mashed fruits, curd.

A. to start yes you can use cerelac... one spoon then after 3 to 4 days two spoon then after 3 to 4 days three spoon in similar way once a day then twice a day then three times Ragi porridge wheat porridge rice porridge Dalia sabudana khichdi cerelac puree mashed boiled fruits and vegetables remember one new food one at a time
