Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinaresgt. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration needs to be maintained .

You Try to maintain the same temperature in the entire please avoid switching of temperature keep your child very well covered with a layer of clothes however it is important don’t overdo it also and also give words of saffron and turmeric me to your child regularly
