Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. if you are keeping gradually all types of food which contains small amount of cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits then everything which is important for the growth of the child will come in it
In COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING start with two rules
Rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow
Rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child.
you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. You have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount

Continue to breastfeed your baby well on demand. Give easily digestible homemade foods and give sips of water in between meals. Consult your doctor for advice on deficiency and supplements. Good luck and take care.
