#asktheexperts how can one be able to get rid of the cold and cough living in a hill station. particularly for young ones during winter

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. it is in diagnosis of allergic cough cold .
here the child will have regular cough and cold which is usually not associated with fever .
it increases and decreases but does not get cured completely.
dr will give anti allergic medicine usually motelukast / levocetirizine. if its still not improving the next line of treatment will be inhaler therapy with mdi / nebulizer.
allergy can bef environmental (temperature variation -hot to cold weather/ cold water intake / dust / smoke / pollens) , food , chocolate / packet preservatives food and sweet food also.
body cannot sustaind such allergic changes leading to cough cold usually at evening /night and morning.

NikithaMom of 2 children1 Year agoA. hello you can put saline drop and also use instant rub from babyhug which is affective and in regards to other medicine it would be better to check with your doctor and she will be able to guide you accordingly which would be better and also safe
