Q.

#AsktheExperts Hlo ma'am, my baby is 47 days old now. I wasn't able to produce milk for 4 days just after my normal delivery so I introduced bottle to my baby. I also started breast feeding my baby after I was able to produce milk. I am having enough milk now as it is always leaking but my baby still seems dissatisfied and depends on bottle feed. How could I change this pattern so that my baby drinks breastmilk instead of formula milk.

A. Hai good evening !! Due to habituat to bottle feed in beginning they feel lazy to latch , sometimes supply issues over or less flow also reason for baby interested in bottle feed. Check your milk Flow of it's leaking over flow keep fore and middle finger around the nipple in scissors position to maintain flow . If you have less supply then Include Milk and diary products, rusk, roasted bread, papaya, chikoo, bottle gourd, Poppy seeds, garlic, kheema, garlic milk in regular diet to increase milk supply. Give direct feed frequently change feeding position due to discomfort in feeding position baby reject breast feed.
