#asktheexperts hlo doctor my baby is 20 months now.. from the age of 1 he starts putting things in his mouth from ground which I always keep watch on him.. nowadays he just scratch the walls & put the dirt of that in his mouth & i always tell him not to do such things but he don't put an ear to it... how should I stop these things

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. this problem is also known as pica due to iron deficiency as well as nutritional deficiency children place dirty things in the oral cavity as well as they may lick soil or they may licks the walls. they may place footwears in their oral cavity. meet your doctor because iron supplements needs to be started aznd give food rich in iron
