#asktheexperts hii madam)/sir my son is one and half year now from since two days he is getting fever IAM giving him p250 syrup after giving syrup his body is getting cool down..after sometime again fever is coming...pls suggest any syrup or pediatrician consult is required

A. Hello, your baby boy is 17 months old and he is having a fever and if you are giving him paracetamol then you should give him plenty of water too

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after evgery 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
