#asktheexperts Hi my girl baby 8month old she is having fever 99.8..para syrup 1ml given..still have fever...what to do sir???

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid prepffarations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. If your baby is 3 to 6 months old and has a temperature up to 102 F (38.9 C) and seems sick or has a temperature higher than 102 F (38.9 C), contact the doctor.
