Q.

#asktheexperts Hi, My daughter had 99-100F fever yesterday, morning it was between 98-99F, now she have 101-102F , am giving Colpol syrup every 6 hours! Do i need to worry on it? Do i need to rush hospital?

A. If you taken temperature correct method with thermometer it is less than 100 degrees F it's normal . otherwise give calpol in proper dose 6 hourly for 3 days If no improvement Consult your pediatrician for trying to find out the cause of fever and get some tests done as needed

A. Fevers due to viruses can last for as little as two to three days and sometime as long as two weeks. A fever caused by a bacterial infection may continue until the child is treated with an antibiotic.
