Q.

#asktheexperts hi.... my 20mnthsbaby is still 9.3kg. she is having regular 3meals And little bit snacks likes fruits etc in between.... she is still feeding with moms milk too..... kindly give tips to increase her weight...

A. Good Growth of the child is very important and for this most important is that child should take a healthy diet where its necessary to give a balance diet which should contain all the nutrition required. This is very important for building the immunity also. Encourage for green vegetables fruits dairy products all kinds of dal and other protein containing food items like soyabean eggs etc. Some nutritional deficiencies can be a cause for less appetite like iron deficiency which is most common. Supplemenryts like iron supplements and multivitamin with lysine like syp zincovit CL can be given for 1-2 months to increase the appetite. Diet counselling fis also very important .

Then you should get the haemoglobin levels checked for the child because I think your child will be having lower level of haemoglobin which is why even after eating so well like how you are mentioning your child is not gaining proper weight your child is about 2 1/2 kgs underweight it’s a matter of concern as of nowWrite Your Answer Here
