#asktheexperts Hi good morning my son is 13 months old and he responds to his name rarely is it normal? He speaks mom, dad and grandpa, and ball well. He points to things he wants and he points to objects we ask and he says bye bye by waving. can I know why he is not responding to his name is there a problem. Please clarify.

A. good morning there is no problem it is a common face with all the small children nothing to worry about it is only about the mood swings as the child will grow this problem will get automatically resolved
