#asktheexperts hi dr my son while brushing his teeth got injured he is not willing show also plz suggest any medicine to cure thz

A. for oral cavity pain / dental pain you can give paracetamol to the child and if it is not improving you can go for syrup ibugesic also. please try to maintain hygiene of the oral cafvity and if the child is having dental carries then a dental examination will also be required. meet your paediatrician who will tell you whether examination by the denftist is required or not and will also rule out any type of local pathology which might be causing pain

A. If a baby, toddler, or young child injures the gums or baby teeth: Apply pressure to the area (if it's bleeding) with a piece of cold, wet gauze. ... Offer an ice pop to suck on to reduce swelling, or hold an ice-pack wrapped in a washcloth to the cheek. Give acetaminophen or ibuprofen as needed for pain. Call a dentist.
