A. child should double it's birth weight by completion of six months and triples by one year... in-between there can be variations.. give only breastmilk till completion of six months for healthy growth and weight

A. in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it becomes 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age. this is a standard weight chart and depending on birth chart it will differ slightly. Month one 3.2-5.4 Month two 4-6.5 Month three 4.6-7.4 Month four 5.1-8.1 Month five 5.5-8.7 Month six 5.8-9.2 Month seven 6.1-9.6 Month eight 6.3-10 Month nine 6.6-10.4 Month 10 6.8-10.7 Month 11 7-11 Month 12 7.3-12 take care
