Q.

#asktheexperts what is the healthy weight gain to the babies? how much weight one should put on in one month? At 3m my baby was 5.5kg now at 4m he is 6kg. is this sufficient? he is premie with 2.25kg birth weight.

A. Hi, your baby weight is good. Usually the baby will gain around 500 g every month. So by six month baby will get double the birth weight and get triple the birth weight by one year. So feed once in every two hours and burp your baby well after every feed. Do not force feed. Make sure there is a gap of two hours between each feed.
