#asktheexperts hi Dr, my son is 1 yr & 3 months old now, 8.6kg, he has fever (100.2 to 102.4) & has cold as well, I was suggested to give him antibiotic cefpodoxin oral suspension 5ml twice daily? is this dose too much for his weight? kindly suggest thank you in advance

A. Kindly continue with the suggestions given by the doctor and if the fever doesn’t subside maximum by the time of 72 hours where you can repeat the paracetamol every six hours then you can consult your doctor for further assistance as it would not be a normal fever
