A. Dear mum, a weight gain of 1.2 kg is a normal weight gain for a baby in 2.5 months, do not worry. Baby should gain at least 500 grams per month. For healthy weight gain, continue to exclusively breastfeed till 6 months complete. At one episode of breast feeding, feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain.
