#asktheexperts hi doctor, my baby is 2 months 20 days now, he is exclusively on breastfeeding. His birth weight was 2.7kgs, now he is 4.430kgs, he is gaining approximately 100grams to 110grams per week. Is he gaining weight on the lower side? how much should he be by 3rd month. Please advise

A. hi dear How long you should breastfeed your baby each time depends on several factors, including your baby's age and your breast milk supply. An average feeding might last 10 to 20 minutes, but a baby can breastfeed anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes at each session.
