#asktheexperts hi doctor my baby girl is 6 months old she has constipation problem I am since she was 1 and half month old. At that time dr. Gave enterogermina for 10 days. It came back when she was 5 months old then dr. Advices to give duphalac syrup for 15 days now as I have started solids she is facing same problem of constipation and I am giving her duphalac. If I stop giving her she gets constipated. What should I do.?

A. you should continue the medicine given by the doctor and make dietary changes Your child is having constipation for which kindly give plenty of water to drink and fibre diet made from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits. Changes in diet has to be made Specially give papaya, banana, oats, fennel seeds water pear, prune, pineapple, resins, plum as it will help in decreasing constipation. Even after that the problem continues kindly meet your doctor for constipation medicine. it is important for you to know that the problem of constipation will improve with increasing age of the child. You may increase or decrease the dosage of constipation medicine if needed according to the consistency of the stool.
