#asktheexperts Hi doctor My baby boy is 16 days old and I see orange stains on his diaper in the morning and very rarely in the daytime. Can you please advise what to do or what is it?

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. In the first few days after birth, you may see orange, pinkish, or chalky urine in your baby's diaper (this can be more common in boys). This isn't blood but urate crystals and is completely normal. These crystals develop because babies' urine is concentrated until they start taking in more fluids.
