Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. yes it happens due to pain of vaccine
when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain.
paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day.
you can also apply ice over the injection site.
if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel.
vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl1 Year agoA. You should give paracetamol to the child that is going to help in reduction of pain and if there is any temperature that would also be in control and also keep an ice cube on the vaccinated area once the child starts to feel better I’m certain the child is going to take a feeling also
