Try offering him food in a bowl and give him a spoon to eat with. Let him make a mess and play with the food and this is how he will learn to eat on his own. Offer small portions of food and give more only when he asks. Offer colourful foods like beetroot halwa, methi parantha etc. in colourful plates or bowls. Colours attract the attention of the kid. Cut foods into different shapes using food cutters. Offer more finger foods. Try offering different textures of foods and see which texture your kid prefers. Eat meals along with the family so that the kid learns healthy eating habits from parents and siblings. Let the kid be a part of meal preparations like setting up the table before mealtime or help in selecting the vegetable to be cooked. This sparks his interest in food.
