#asktheexperts Hello ma’am My 7 month baby girl has not yet started sitting Her weight is 6 kg Birth weight was 2.1 kg What to do how to help her so that she too can sit? Regards Nidhi Daud

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 10 m old boy1 Year agoA. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and baby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. j in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly the child will begin to standi with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr 5 m old girl1 Year agoA. From the age of 26 weeks completing you can make your child sit with support and by completing the time eight months only a child would learn to sit independently Suit is completely normal if your child is sitting properly with support as of now
