#asktheexperts Hello Dr. Pandurang. My son is 1 yr 5 months old. I am a first time mom. my son at times will eat well and suddenly for a few days he will not eat at all. He would only want to have milk. This happens a lot of times that he will eat well for one week and then suddenly stop having meals for 10 to 15 days. Is this normal??

Yes it is very much a typical child's behaviour.
All days are not the same, best what you can do it to make a diet routine for him, set his meal , snack , milk time etc .
this way you could limit his milk intake and wont replace with meals,

No this is definitely not a normal behaviour if your child is eating sometime and saying no to food most of the times then again eating maybe your child is having some nutritional deficiency or some discomfort which is why this kind of behaviour is going on and off with the child
