Q.

#asktheexperts hello dr my son is now 1year and 2 month ...he has stomach worm...I consult one local pediatrician ...she gave me medicine twice but till now worm is there..what shall I do??? what remedies should I do at home for removing the worm

A. Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repeat the same dose after 14 days ouince this cycle should be repeated every six months at least till 5 year of agef but it is advisable to give this medicine only after taking guidance by your doctor

A. I would not recommend you to give any medicine without consulting the doctor if you are sure that their worms in the stomach then only you go head with giving any kind of medication to the child otherwise not because these medicines are not supposed to be given
