#asktheexperts hello dr. my son is having high fever. given 1ml dolo drops per prescription. but fever is not dripping. Cam i switch on AC ?

For FEVER as well as PAIN kindly give paracetamol according to the weight of child as well as according to the power of paracetamol medicine you are having and paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day and also do body sponge to decrease the surface temperature.
Also when u take temperature in the armpit of the child and it is 100 or more then only consider it as fever and give Paracetamol.
higher medicines for fever like ibugesic and mefenamic has to be given only after medical consultation.
After giving fever medicines yoou can wait for maximum 3 days and then meet your doctor if it is not improving.
Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever

If you want to put on the AC you can but the temperature has to be somewhere on 26° as of now and you make sure that your child is not shivering then only you can use an air conditioner if your child is shivering what is the temperature is really high in that case you should not use ACWrite Your Answer Here
