A. Scabies usually spreads through skin-to-skin contact. It often breaks out in kindergartens, schools and nursing homes Scabies doesn't happen because your child or home is dirty.Doctors treat scabies by prescribing a medicated cream or lotion to kill the mites. Apply the cream to skin all over the body not just the area with the rash. In infants and young children, also put the cream on the face avoiding the mouth and eyes scalp, and ears.
