Q.

#asktheexperts hello doctor, my 10.5 year old daughter is having fever and I had given paracetamol 500 mg tab,still fever is not totally reduced. how shall I deal with.

A. Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory procgdess in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if fever is repeating. and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required
