#asktheexperts Hello doctor I am 16 weeks pregnant, I have done dual marker and report came with positive in down syndrome. but I have done NIPT and report came low risk in down syndrome and z score came 0.6822. So is everything OK or I need to do further assessment

A. When the downs value comes in the high-risk criteria, then the next best step to ideally diagnose, will be an amniocentesis. There you will get a proper confirmation, if the baby is having the problem or not
