#asktheexperts dr my baby is 22 months old and he having fever and loose motions antibiotics are going on as per dr prescribed I just wants to know how long and loose motion takes time to go away?

Loose motion are most of cthe time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

Depending upon the right reasoning behind it if it is due to a normal reason like teaching and all maybe 3 to 5 days with medication but if it is due to our stomach infection then sometimes you can take 5 to 7 days also depending upon the reason behind that there
