#asktheexperts doctor I have given pacimol ds syrup 250 mg to my daughter as she has 101 F fever from morning.her age 3 years.

Author of questionMom of a 7 yr old girl3 years agoA. doctor please suggest which medicine is fine pacimol ds or calpol 250 mg for fever of 3 yrs baby.I have given pacimol ds 250 because that only available with me.please help I have repeated that medicine 5 ml three times in a day

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofebn b and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
