A. post vaccination swelling is a common thing which maybe mild or sometimes more depending upon the type of vaccination. Mostly after DPT vaccine, there may be fever and pain which may be there for two or three days. Sometime the swelling may persist. Paracetamol should be given in a proper dose to reduce the pain and fever. Ice fermentation can be given locally also, thrombophobeg oint can be applied. if there is too much of pain or any kind of pus formation, is there you should not ignore and consult your doctor.
