Sangavi GowthamMom of a 1 yr 2 m old boy9 months agoA. Yes.. DPT causes swelling. you can apply ice wrapped in a clean cloth.. don’t press but gently dab on it.. after applying ice try to move the leg so that it doesn’t hurt with movements later. para drops must be given as it reduces the pain.. give for 2 days. No need for any ointments over the site. Give lots of cuddles.. as your baby needs u more now 😊

Yes of course you can and actually you should do it after every vaccination after that you can apply Thermophob it’s a tube that is going to help in setting down the swelling and if the pain is much is there then you can also give paracetamol without fever
