POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due this month3 months agoA. It’s completely normal for an 8-month-old baby to have less hair density, as hair growth in babies varies widely. Some babies are born with thick hair, while others grow it gradually over time. Hair growth is largely influenced by genetics, nutrition, and overall health.
Here’s what you can do:
Ensure proper nutrition through a balanced diet (if on solids) and continued breastmilk or formula. Gently massage the scalp with natural oils like coconut or almond oil 2–3 times a week to stimulate blood flow. Keep the scalp clean by washing it with a mild baby shampoo 2–3 times a week. Avoid applying any harsh or unknown products to the scalp.
Hair usually thickens naturally by the age of 1 to 2 years. If there are bald patches or scalp issues like flakiness or redness, consult your pediatrician or a dermatologist.
