Q.

#asktheexperts at 9 months meningococcal vaccine is necessary. at 9 months MMR is in the chart.byt Dr says to put meningococcal vaccine also

A. meningococcal vaccine is an optional vaccine. it is usually given either at 9 months of age and one year of age as a a 2 dosage regimen or you can go for a single dosage after two years of age. your doctor is the best pzerson to tell you whether it is required by your child or not. my personal advice would be that if you can afford the vaccine you should get the child vaccinated for any disease for which vaccine is available

A. hello you should get all the vaccination done as advised by your doctor and please check with your doctor and get all the IAP recommended vaccination which is very important to be given for the child and nothing to worry about
