apply ice on the injection site intermittently.

the side effects associated with the vaccine are generally mild. The most common are pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site.
swelling will reduce on its own. you may apply ice on it for first 2 days to relieve pain.

no need of oinment
instead of it ,I would suggest to try cool pack on this part
for that ,take a clean Cotton clothe and ice cube
make pouch of it then Gently Pat it on injected site
