Q.

#asktheexperts 6 weeks vaccination mark is still there on my baby's left leg, Now they've given 10 weeks vaccination on the left leg. the swelling is there for both the vaccination. since my baby got cold after his 6th week vaccination i stopped placing ice pack. is it OK to give hot fomentation instead of ice pack

A. ice would be better to decrease the swellings. after painful vaccines administration they can cause swelling in the limbs which can continue for more than two months also. it does not require any treatment and should go away on its own. after vaccination immediately you should start applying ice as well as thrombophob gel to prevent such swellings from persisting

A. The mark usually do not stay after the vaccination since it has been such a long time that you’re saying it’s staying you please get it checked with your doctor because further whatever would be required for the situation the doctor would be able to give you better guidance after examining it
