#AskTheExpertMy baby is 9 months old, he is having cold, cough and also doing vomiting everyday twice or thrice please prescribe the medicine

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorancst bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

U Please can you check with your paediatrician since your child is suffering with both the issues together the doctor would maybe giving an antibiotic for the child so it’s better as soon as you can consult your doctor for a proper medicines as of now give indirect steam to the child
