#asktheexpert Yesterday, my baby was standing facing the door when my niece unaware opened the door quickly and with force. toe has turned black colour, he walks normally but shows discomfort if nail is touched. Applied ice. Is there a cause of concern? What can I do? Should I take him to hospital?

A. Mam the nail actually is going to chip now basically what happens is when you see this kind of situation blue or black area into the nail it is eventually going to come out slowly and that would be pushed by the new nail that will come it will not create any pain or problem but this is what is going to happen if you feed the child is discomfort or any kind of PUSS is building inside of that then in that case you can consult your doctor
