Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. it appears to be allergic cough/cold ( most commonly seen in children less than 6 years of age).
usually they are not associated with fever and the cough and cold can continue for many weeks.
they can be associated with temperature variations around the body (hot to cold or cold to hot environmental changes) which the body cannot sustain leading to cough usually at evening /night and morning.
also they may be food allergy ,cold allergy and allergy to dust, smoke, pollens also.
requires examination and start anti allergic mediciness.
meet dr.
there is a possibility of starting anti allergic medicines for at least one month and the doctor will decide if the child needs inhalerz therapy or nebulization.
when allergies are not controlled they can lead to intermittent respiratory infections which needs other medicine
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. Young children have more colds than older children and adults because they haven't built up immunity (defences) to the more than 100 different cold viruses that are around.
