feed in upright position and burp in-between and after feeding sessions.
after six months start with liquids only like dal ka Pani or rice water or fruit purees

If You are talking about complimentary feeding to be given to the child then you can only started after the age of 185 days of birth after that only you can start with any kind of complimentary food and water for the child but before that you have to strictly go for breastfeeding or formula whatever you are giving
