#asktheexpert when a toddler stops breast milk, does it affect the menstrual cycle of a mother?

A. Yes it affects as hormonal changes take place which leads to changes in menstrual cycle and if during lactation you were not getting periods then onset will start now so it is normal once take advice from your gynaecologist

A. Menstrual cycle and breastfeeding have no connection with each other whatsoever they are totally two different things as menstrual cycle is a very natural thing for a woman to happen where breastfeeding only happens when you deliver so things are not connected so do not affected by each other
