Offer new foods that you want to introduce along with your child's favourite foods. Let the child feed himself. Give him a spoon and a bowl of food. Let him play with his food and make a mess. This is how he will learn to eat with a spoon on his own and also learn to eat by touching, playing and finally tasting the food. Make family meals a pleasant experience. Avoid all distractions during mealtime like TV, laptop, mobile phones, tablet etc. The child will learn to eat after watching his parents. Make the child participate actively in meal preparations. For example, setting the table or selecting the vegetables etc.
