GAURAVFather of a 5 yr 2 m old girl4 years agoA. Hello,
I am assuming that you’re asking about introducing solids to your baby and so till now he’s exclusively BM/FF. You can give 3 meals a day and 3 Bm/ FF in the beginning and then gradually increase the solid meals 3 to 4 times and BM 2 times.
If that’s the case please refer below-
1. Start with steamed/cooked fruit or vegetables in puréed form.
2. Introduce one food at a time, continue with the same food for 3 days for checking if any allergies. Mostly introduce in morning.
3. Since your baby is 9 months old, you can give pureed food for short duration until he’s interested in mashed food rather than purée.
4. Fruits - apple, pear, seasonal fruit, watermelon, orange, banana.
Vegetables- carrots, beet root, spinach, peas, potato, sweet potato, beans.
5. Once you introduce all the fruits and
vegetables, try to mix them and see which combination works more for your baby.
6. Then you can start with different porridge - ragi powder, sattu powder, oats, suji upma, barley etc. Also you can add all veggies and fruits in the porridge. You can find recipes on google.
7. Afterwards start rice, roti, khichadi etc
8. Use dry fruit powder in porridge for more benefits.
Thanks,
Sneha
