Q.

#asktheexpert what is the food portion size for 2.6 yr old? she is a girl and weighs around 10-10.5kg. After finishing she says she is hungry but when I offer something to eat she doesn't eat. She wants something like namkeen/ biscuit/ chips/ chocolates.

A. it is advisable to continue your efforts in feeding the child. many times it take more efforts from the parents to make the child eat nutritious food. so kindly go for different recipes and flavours which might improve the appetite of the dchild. at the same time it is also important to meet your doctor to rule out nutritional deficiency which might be the cause of loss of appetite. d give juice fruits and water which will improve appetite and regular physical activity.

A. Food portion is going to be dependent upon the appetite of the child otherwise you can give one roti of regular side with pulses and vegetable one time that’s going to be enough for the child other than that you should avoid giving biscuits and chips are totally junk and very unhealthy
