A. Teething discomfort is common at this stage, and you can try some safe home remedies to soothe your baby: 1. Cold Compression ✅ Chilled Teething Toys – Give a refrigerated (not frozen) teether for baby to chew on. ✅ Cold Spoon – Chill a clean metal spoon in the fridge and let baby suck on it. ✅ Chilled Muslin Cloth – Dip a soft cloth in cold water, wring it out, and let baby chew on it. 2. Massage the Gums ✅ Wash your hands and gently rub the baby’s gums with a clean finger for relief. ✅ You can also use a cold, clean cotton cloth to rub the gums. 3. Breastfeeding or Pacifier ✅ Breastfeeding provides comfort and helps ease the pain. ✅ You can also chill a pacifier before giving it to the baby. 4. Natural Teething Sticks (If Baby Starts Solids Soon) ✅ Chilled carrot stick or cucumber (supervised) can help with gum relief once baby starts solids. 5. Distraction & Comfort ✅ Hold, cuddle, and engage baby with toys or music to divert attention from discomfort. What to Avoid? ❌ Honey, sugar, or homemade gels (not safe for babies under 1 year). ❌ Frozen teethers (can be too hard on gums). ❌ Hard foods (baby is not on solids yet). These remedies should help ease the discomfort. Let me know if you need more tips!
