It is recommended to introduce semi solid foods in baby's diet between the age of 5-6 months as by then their immunity and digestive system develop a bit. You can feed foods like lentil puree, mashed banana, apple, carrot and pear puree, mixed vegetable soup, khichdi, ragi and sooji porridge, home made cerelac, etc. Start slow with 4-6 spoons per serving and twice a day. Introduce one food at a time and feed for atleast 3 days at stretch to see how well baby is able to digest.
