Q.

#AskTheExpert we used to feed my 19 months old boy by spoon. he eat everything but in the shape of liquid. firstly I cook food like veggies, fruits, rice, dal, egg, etc and then grind it into a fine liquid form. if any solid particles come into his mouth he do vomit. i am very worried. bcoz his weight is only 11kg. he is very active in every activity.

A. as food for the baby you can give all kind of seasonal fruits and vegetables. you can give Apple everyday .can also give mango , pomegranate,papaya and banana according to the season and requirement . avoid giving banana excessively and daily otherwise it may cause constipation. you can also give rice preparations oatmeals curd preparationsband daliya. it will be better if you are able to give dairy products daily apart from milk. refrigerated and packed foods should be avoided, junk foods should also be avoided. if you will give excessive of milk to the child the hunger may get satisfied by that and the child may not be interested in having other variety of food. over all geyou need to see that you are giving a balanced diet to your child with proper fulfillment of nutritional and energy requirements according to the age

A. hi dear Diet for a 19-month-old – Week 1, Day 1 Breakfast Ragi (finger millet)-oats- banana pancake with milk Mid-morning Coconut water with malai (cream) Lunch Roti + dal + a sabzi of choice + a few slices of cucumber + hand pounded rice Evening Murmura (puffed rice) chikki + milk Dinner Thalipeeth with white butter and buttermilk
