Q.

#AskTheExpert we use to give baby boy (2.5m old) expressed breast milk from avent bottle. Along with breast milk some times we use to feed him formula (similac total comfort). But from 3 days we are seeing that baby is rejecting formula bottle whereas drinking breast milk bottle only. Is it normal? What can be done in this scenario to restart formula feed along with breast milk as we have to travel and my wife also have to go to office.

A. yes it's safe. Breastfeeding is considered the best source of natural immunity and also all the antibodies to a newborn baby . Doctor s don't recommend formula milk as it is not required at all . exclusive breastfeeding is the best for good immunity and baby health , reduces colic and gas issues and helps in the overall brain development of the baby. No water , ghutti or honey or any other syp is given till 6 months of age .
