Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. children are good at responding to their feelings of hunger and fullness so please trust your child.
how much your child will take food depends upon how active excited as well as tired they are.
it is not advisable to force them to eat and let the child decide the quantity of food the child will take.
set regular meal and snacks time and avoid snacks close to meal time. (something like three meals and three snacks)
offer water between meals.
sipping on milk or other beverages between meals leaves less room for other foods.
set a good example. your toddler may be more likely to accept healthy foods if they see you eating them.
keep mealtimes pleasant and relaxesd.
turn off the tv and remove toys and other distractions during meal and snack times.
encourage phzysical activity to improve appetite
only in sudden decrease in appetite or there is growth hampering then contact your doctor
