Q.

#AskTheExpert up until 5 weeks, my baby's feeding sessions throughout the day were around 10-12 with average duration of 15 minutes. since week 6 the sessions have increased to 14-15 with average duration of 10 minutes . is that normal?

A. Your baby's appetite will increase during growth spurts. Continue to feed on demand and increase the number of feedings as needed. Your infant also will become more alert as the weeks go by, cooing and smiling. So there will be more interaction between you and your baby during feedings.
